Biography

Siobhan Brady

Siobhan Brady comes from Limerick in Ireland and is an accomplished and experienced harpist on both the Irish lever and pedal concert harp. She has graduated with a first-class honours Bachelor of Music from MTU Cork School of Music She specialised in harp performance studying under Anne-Marie Papin Labazordiere.

In April 2018, She was awarded first place in two international harp competitions at the North London Music Festival. As a result of this, she was approached to join a team from the Highest Concert team to travel to the Himalayas in India and establish a new Guinness World Record which was awarded in January 2020 for the Highest Altitude Harp Performance in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.

The Guinness World Record-breaking Highest Harp Concert was performed at 5000m on the 6th of September 2018 just above the summit of Singla pass on the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of India. In doing so, the project raised £20K in funds and increased awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, using music and altitude.

Now, Siobhan is planning on breaking her own record by bringing her harp to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro July 2023 in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

Siobhan has toured internationally with the “Irish Harp Orchestra” under Dr. Janet Harbison. She has also performed with many groups and orchestras such as CSM Symphony Orchestra, Cork Concert Orchestra, UL Orchestra, North Stars Chambre Orchestra, Cor Cois Abhann and Harbison Harp Quartet.

Siobhan is also a sought after solo performer. She was invited to perform in a variety of concerts such as Carpe Diem Concert in memory of Eimear Noonan (2022) and Music at Midday – Crawford Art Gallery.

Siobhan has experience with many corporate events speaking about her adventures as well as performing. She was invited to open the EUSEA European Science Engagement Association conference (both 2021 and 2022), to open the All Ireland Business Summit in Croke Park (2023), Resurgence 25X for the Arts (2021) and a Solo Concert for Microsoft Ireland’s St Patrick’s Celebration (2022).
